LEED-ing the way in hospital expansions.
Layton completed over 315,000 SF of new construction and 36,000 SF in renovations on the Portneuf Medical Center. The ground-up, six-story patient tower houses an emergency department, 153 patient beds, a women's center with LDRs and two C-section ORs, a 16-bed NICU, 11 new ORs, and a PACU. It also features a loading dock with receiving and material handling, helipad, garage, and fueling station, making this facility a regional hub for Life Flight. This project achieved LEED certification, and all work was completed while the existing facility remained open.
