Boise, ID (October 11, 2024) – Bringing together teams to compete in a friendly, action-packed tournament, Layton Construction recently held its annual charity event “Rockin’ the Court.” Proceeds from the event support local Boise charity Sleep in Heavenly Peace, an organization dedicated to providing beds for children in need.

The tournament featured a mix of pickleball matches across different skill levels. Participants not only competed for the coveted title of pickleball champs but also contributed to the significant cause while enjoying comradery, snacks, and fun.

Thanks to generous sponsors and participants, the event raised $40,000—the equivalent of 160 beds—to support Sleep in Heavenly Peace’s mission and help ensure no child in the community sleeps on the floor. A monumental donation for Layton’s Boise office, the charitable contribution sets a record for the event in just its third year.

“This is a fantastic charity event that’s proudly sponsored by our trades, engineers, and owners throughout the Treasure Valley,” says Sid Barzee, Business Development Manager at Layton. “Together, we’re supporting Sleep in Heavenly Peace, a wonderful organization building beds for children across America who currently sleep on the floor. It’s a wonderful opportunity to raise money and make a difference for kids in need.”

With this year’s event, Layton continues its commitment to supporting local communities through meaningful partnerships and charitable contributions.

We extend our deepest thanks to our generous sponsors:
