Project ORH5 | Sortation Center

Layton completed this massive sortation center with a 123,000 SF mezzanine on the main level across an expedited 13-month schedule, sitting on a 100-acre site. Extensive earthwork was required to create a buildable site on the side of a granite mountain, with 300,000 cubic yards of rock blasted. An earthwork trade partner blasted into the granite mountain. Two crushing plants were brought in to crush the boulders into 8" stone and fill the other half of the project. As a result, no materials had to be imported for this job.
