Our Supplier Diversity team advances the Layton mission by bringing diverse trade partners, vendors, and suppliers to our projects. We seek to not only create opportunities for SMWBE firms but recognize the value their perspectives bring. By helping our diverse trade partners grow, we grow, as does our industry.

We’re out to provide opportunities to encourage diverse participation on our projects.
To that end, Layton conducts community outreach to identify women- and minority-owned firms near our office and project locations who would benefit from participating in the TPEP program. We want to help under-represented groups navigate our prequalification process and tackle meaningful scope that is the right size for their operation.
Layton provides on-going training to assist minority- and women-owned businesses with sustainability and growth efforts.
These educational TPEP sessions focus on doing business with Layton; navigating our prequalification process; preconstruction, estimating, and how to competitively bid; best practices in contract administration, bonding, risk management, safety, and marketing; and so much more!
Layton’s efforts are designed to bring our trade partners together while opening doors that would otherwise be closed to them.
Through TPEP, we will introduce you to a variety of Layton team members, enabling you to build and maintain relationships with the very people you’ll work with on a Layton project. We will also play matchmaker and pair your company with a larger, first-tier trade partner to help mentor your team and provide further industry guidance.
A real initiative takes real action.
As we’ve partnered with community advocacy organizations, we’ve had the unique opportunity to learn from diverse voices in our industry and thus broaden our perspective. It’s one thing to offer up a seat at the table. It’s another to listen intently. Layton is actively engaging with diverse trades to make impactful changes. We want to hear about your experiences and do our part to drive progress in construction.
