State Hospital South | Secure Skilled Nursing Facility

This project required significant site work, including excavation, foundation work, utility line relocation, and tree removal—while the existing facility was demolished. The ground-up replacement facility houses 59 beds with a dietary kitchen, dining area, physical and recreational therapy areas, medication rooms, laundry rooms, nursing stations, conference rooms, storage rooms, and a detached gym. The project team also met various safety and security requirements, such as wireless capabilities, an elopement and wander management system, anti-ligature hardware, and a negative pressure room.
