In relocating the Family Birthing Center at Trios Women’s and Children’s Hospital, Layton completed a two-story vertical expansion above the first floor surgery department. The expansion provides patients a single location for many services while streamlining patient support. Layton added two dedicated rooms for C-section deliveries, six LDRP rooms, and a 10-bed critical care nursery and converted 11 existing beds from the medical/surgical floors to postpartum beds on an expanded third floor.
