Retama Park Community Hospital is topped out in San Antonio, TX!

We were joined by University Health San Antonio administrators and city officials as we left our mark on the final beam. This facility, slated to open in 2027, will transform local healthcare access with:

• 24/7 Emergency Department.

• Labor and delivery unit.

• Advanced radiology laboratory.

• Full-service pharmacy.

• Specialized neonatal intensive care.

• Modern inpatient units.

Pivoting during preconstruction: Our early and strategic partnership with the design team revealed a game-changing opportunity—if we converted the structure from concrete to steel, we could unlock significant cost savings and compress the construction timeline. Key trade partners joined the conversation as well, enabling us to thoroughly pull plan, accelerate the deployment of design packages, and address all potential issues before breaking ground.

With the five-story structure complete, we’ll be full steam ahead on the remaining scope for this healthcare facility, and we look forward to working alongside UH and the city of Selma to deliver a facility the community can depend on for decades to come.
