We’re excited to share that four Layton projects received accolades at the 2024 Utah Construction and Design Awards, where a panel of seven industry professionals recognized 37 standout projects from over 100 submissions.

The Worthington Residences | Salt Lake City, UT
High-Rise

Architect: Solomon Cordwell Buenz
The Worthington Residences represents a groundbreaking achievement as Layton’s first high-rise residential building in Salt Lake City. Located in the heart of downtown, the 31-story high-rise residential tower serves as a beautiful addition to the city’s skyline. This mixed-use development includes 359 upscale residential units, catering to the city’s growing demands for modern, high-end housing. The tower features more than 15,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenity space, including a 12th-floor pool deck, fitness center, locker room with a sauna, and a rooftop gathering area, offering residents stunning views of the surrounding mountains.
Frederick Quinney Lawson Health Sciences Building at Bridgerland Technical College | Logan, UT
Healthcare – Small
Client: Division of Facilities Construction and Management | Bridgerland Technical College
Architect: Method Studio
The two-story health sciences building for Bridgerland Technical College supports the community’s increased demand for healthcare needs. This addition also provides students with current practices and equipment being used in nearby community facilities, including a lecture hall, break area, dental assisting and pharmacy technician departments, phlebotomy lab, medical assistant classroom and lab, health sciences classroom, nursing assistant skills lab, practical nursing classrooms, a family board room, and an outdoor patio.
The facility stands as the first new building Bridgerland has added in their 50-year existence, having previously only refurbished existing buildings to expand the campus and meet their needs. That said, the new facility adds a welcomed upgrade for students and faculty.
The Ruth and Nathan Hale Theater @ doTerra | Pleasant Grove, UT

Client: The Ruth and Nathan Hale Theater | Pleasant Grove City
Architect: Method Studio
The Hale Center Theater in Orem has embarked on a remarkable journey with its relocation to the prestigious dōTERRA campus in Pleasant Grove. This 77,950 square-foot facility promises to set a new standard for theatrical arts in Utah. The theater includes a 1,074-seat main theater, the 775-seat Grand Theater, and 299-seat Studio Theater—a nod to the beloved original Hale Theater in Orem, which served as a cultural cornerstone for over three decades.
Salt Lake City Downtown Liquor & Wine Store | Salt Lake City, UT
Commercial/Retail
Client: Division of Facilities Construction and Management
Architect: Jacoby Architects
The first two-story liquor store in the state features large floor-to-ceiling windows to bring in ample natural light. As a unique component for a liquor store, artifacts dating back to the 1800s were found during the store’s construction and are displayed throughout.
