Thompson Hotel

Set within Denver’s historic Lower Downtown district and spanning 12 stories with a single level below grade, the hotel features 224 rooms, a conference room offering flexible space, retail stores, a café, a restaurant/bar on both the ground level and 12th floors, and three kitchens. Site coordination and communication were key throughout construction, as the hotel sits on a tight site between an existing building and an alley. Layton implemented a design-assist approach to maximize Lean construction methods while utilizing just-in-time delivery and BIM 360 to help expedite the project.
