Mary Bridge Children's Hospital

Mary Bridge Children's Hospital is the Pacific Northwest's newest freestanding pediatric medical campus. Layton delivered the 262,000 SF, 10-story Tacoma tower via Integrated Project Delivery, completing on schedule and within budget through a full pandemic-era redesign. The facility includes 82 private patient rooms, eight dedicated pediatric ORs, PICU, NICU, pediatric ED, and behavioral health services.

Completed in 2026, Layton worked closely with partners, key stakeholders, providers, and staff to ensure project goals are realized in the most efficient way, focusing heavily on Lean design and an Integrated Project Delivery approach. The facility incorporates modern technology such as artificial intelligence, wayfinding, wireless internet, smart rooms, and a digital check-in.
