Wilkes-Barre General Hospital | ED & Heart Center

Doubling the size of the old emergency department, alongside a heart center addition and 7,000 SF of renovations, Layton worked closely with the owner and design team to bring this complex project to fruition. Completed on a tight site with multiple tie-ins at a fully functioning hospital, the project included a "fast-track" area with 10 treatment rooms, a three-bay ambulance entrance, seven-room behavioral health unit, medication room, radiology services, and thee cardiac catheterization labs adjacent to the hospital's OR.
