A greenfield replacement facility spanning 25 acres in a rural community, the North Alabama Medical Center is a five-story, 263-bed acute care hospital with 14 operating rooms, a 36-bed emergency department with four trauma rooms and 30 exam rooms, and 52 critical care beds. Additionally, the facility houses surgical, interventional, and diagnostic services, four cath labs, three nuclear medicine rooms, and full-service imaging/diagnostics. Finally, the Layton team added MEP systems for efficiency and cost savings.
