When the original facility started to show its age, the owner hired Layton to construct a replacement hospital for the Southern California desert town that was designed with the intention to make it become the hub of healthcare in the high desert. The acute-care facility features 30 patient rooms, an ICU, obstetrics, emergency department, operating room suite, imaging facilities, and central utility plant.
