Layton constructed the six-story, 162-room "Kai Tower" expansion at Maui Coast Hotel, adding lobby, pool, restaurant, retail spaces, and parking to meet high occupancy demand. The project required strategic concrete pour planning due to island supply limitations and careful coordination to minimize impact on adjacent hotel guests. The completed expansion seamlessly integrates with the existing property and features rooftop solar systems generating 275,257 kWh of renewable energy annually.
