White House, TN (March 27, 2025) – Marking a significant milestone in healthcare accessibility for residents of White House and surrounding communities, Layton Construction, along with HCA Tristar Division, celebrated the groundbreaking of the area’s first dedicated emergency department.
As an extension to the neighboring HCA Tristar Division Hendersonville Medical Center community, many staff and faculty members will expand their services to White House, helping to make this new vision come to life.
The new White House ER represents a critical response to the dramatic increase in healthcare needs in the region. “The addition of an emergency room here in White House will provide quick, high quality, expert care in situations where every second counts,” says Justin Coury, TriStar Hendersonville CEO.
Over the past three decades, patient volume at TriStar Hendersonville has surged from approximately 6,000 patients annually to nearly 50,000 today. This growth underscores the need for local emergency services, particularly in an area where residents currently face up to 30-minute drives to the nearest emergency care facility.
“This ER is not only going to impact White House. It is going to positively affect so many lives that we don’t even know yet and that is profound,” said Donnie Eden of Prosperity Mortgage Advisors, a past chairman of the White House Area Chamber of Commerce and a longtime advocate for the community.
Project Highlights:
- First freestanding emergency room in White House
- Approximately 11,000 square feet
- 11 exam rooms
- Fully equipped with lab, CT scanner, and X-ray capabilities
The project is on an aggressive construction schedule, potentially setting a new speed-to-market record for emergency department developments at Layton. Site preparation is expected to begin in the coming months, with construction slated to start in mid-June 2025.
To help ensure project delivery and predictability, the team has already begun procuring long-lead equipment, including the rooftop air unit, with plans to similarly fast-track other critical components like the generator and boiler.
At its core, this project represents more than just a new building, it’s a commitment to saving lives and providing predictable, reliable emergency care when communities need it most.
