Phoenix, AZ (May 5, 2025) – Celebrating another standout win, Layton Construction has earned General Contractor of the Year at the 2025 Best of NAIOP Arizona Awards. The team has been named GC of the Year for the second time this year, following their win at the 2025 AZRE RED Awards earlier this spring.

This marks Layton Arizona’s eighth GC of the Year win since 2014—continuing a strong legacy of construction excellence in the region.

In addition to the GC of the Year honor, the Layton-built Caliber by Greystar facility (submitted by developer Greystar) received Best Spec Industrial Project Under 500,000 square feet at the Best of NAIOP Arizona. The master-planned industrial development is revitalizing a historic infill site in the heart of Peoria and includes three Class A, one-story industrial buildings:

  • Building A 114,446 square feet
  • Building B 122,863 square feet
  • Building C 174,609 square feet

“Congratulations to each of the incredible teams behind these projects and a huge thank you to the entire Layton family,” said Andrew Geier, Executive Vice President at Layton. “I’ve attended these award events for years, and I can’t remember a time when one contractor earned both Contractor of the Year titles in the same year. I’m proud to hold this delineation on behalf of Layton. Your hard work, dedication, and positive results make this possible.”
