As phase 1 to a larger future expansion, the added emergency department space includes 15 treatment bays, eight treatment rooms, and support space. The structure is sized to support the future five additional vertical med/surg floors and hosts a shell space for future emergency department additions. Layton also met a 93% recycling initiative for all project waste.
