“In our communities, healing has always been sacred,” said Glen Hayward, Redding Rancheria Executive Director. “This campus is a testament to the strength and resilience of our people. We are not just building a medical center; we are reclaiming a way of life.”
The Tribal Health Village campus will feature:
- An 80,000 SF outpatient clinic, offering primary care, dental, behavior health services, a pharmacy, clinical administration offices, and community spaces, such as senior nutrition services with a serving kitchen and outdoor rooftop areas.
- An 89,000 SF wellness center, complete with a gymnasium, indoor track, cardio studios, indoor and outdoor swimming, a juice bar, and a café.
- A 10,000 SF atrium, seamlessly connecting the clinic and wellness center and serving as a communal gathering space.
- A 9,000 SF warehouse and repair shop to support facility operations.
- Walking trails winding through educational nature gardens, promoting outdoor activity and connection to the land.
“Breaking ground on the Tribal Health Village is a proud moment for Layton. This project is designed to serve the community for generations, and we’re committed to delivering a high-quality, state-of-the-art facility that reflects Redding Rancheria’s vision. From the advanced medical and wellness spaces to the integration of indoor and outdoor environments, every element of this project is being built with durability, efficiency, and sustainability in mind.” – Tom Bethmann, Director of Business Development at Layton.

Designed by LPA Design Studios, the campus is being built on Redding Rancheria-owned land near Clear Creek and State Route 273. Once complete, it will replace the existing Tribal Health System while consolidating multiple facilities into a single space. The new campus will allow the tribe to expand services and accommodate more patients all under one roof.
Construction is now officially underway with completion anticipated for 2027.
