Mesa Community College Performing Arts Center

Layton brought the East Valley a much-desired performance venue that celebrates MCC’s music, dance, and theater programs. The team reused approximately 75% of an existing movie theater, including the walls, floors, and roof to complete this 460-seat multi-purpose theater. Sustainable features include water-efficient landscaping, heat-island effect reduction, passive water harvesting, water-efficient plumbing features, recycled materials, and skylights. The site design promotes biodiversity by restoring 35% of the site area with permeable ground cover and native vegetation.
