Spring Hill, FL (June 29, 2026)—Layton Construction has been growing roots in the Sunshine State for nearly 15 years, and the completion of the Oak Hill South Emergency project is the latest addition to its community legacy.
Hernando County and Spring Hill are medically underserved areas, according to the Health Resources and Services Administration. This freestanding emergency room helps change that.
“This is our fourth freestanding emergency room in the state in 14 months,” said Layton Senior Project Manager Albert Mosely. “These facilities are like mini hospitals with all the equipment you need for lifesaving care.”
The 10,860 SF, single-story freestanding emergency room will be open 24/7 and include:
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation room.
- Private patient triage area.
- Dedicated pediatric treatment rooms.
“We are proud to support communities like Spring Hill that need emergency care closer to home,” said Mosely.
This is Layton’s 29th project with HCA Florida, the largest healthcare network in the state.
The Oak Hill South Emergency project is expected to open for patients later this summer.
