Loma Linda, California (October 7, 2026)—Layton Construction joined Loma Linda University Health leaders, community partners, and team members to cut the ribbon on the new Loma Linda University Children’s Health Specialty Clinics. The five-story outpatient pavilion will open to patients in early 2027.
Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital is the area’s only stand-alone pediatric facility, seeing 1.2 million children every year. Its new Loma Linda University Children’s Health Specialty Clinics expands access and services right next door.

In San Bernardino County there are over 2,200 kids per pediatrician, making their average a thousand kids higher per physician than the state average, according to The American Board of Pediatrics. This new clinic will help fulfill the community need for lifesaving services closer to home.
“The Children’s Health Specialty Clinics will deliver high-quality healthcare and bring multiple specialties, previously spread throughout the community, to one location,” said Layton Construction Manager Kris Jenson.
The 105,000 SF, five-story outpatient pavilion will offer at least 20 pediatric specialties including:
- Orthopaedics
- Cardiology
- Gastroenterology
- Neurology
- Pulmonology
- Spina bifida care
- Pediatric general surgery

“Loma Linda University Health has been a valued client and partner for many years. We are honored to continue that relationship through the Children’s Health Specialty Clinics project which will support the community for many years to come,” said Jenson.
Designed by Mascari Dinh Architects, the clinic is expected to open for patients in early 2027.
