Located on the fourth floor of the Scharbauer Patient Tower, Layton completed an 8,585 SF NICU renovation and 7,000 SF inpatient pharmacy addition. The NICU includes 18 beds with patient and staff support services. The expansion also advances the NICU to a Level III classification. Designed to keep more families closer to home, the NICU features private rooms and a floor with four beds per pod, designed for socialization. A bonding room also allows parents to stay overnight to prepare to care for their little ones at home. All features are centered around maximum patient healing.
