Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center | ED & Patient Tower

Set on a busy 30-acre campus and completed in just 14 months, this five-story tower and emergency department expansion added several important functions to the hospital to better serve the community. The scope included an improved lobby, public and emergency department entrances, administrative support areas, a new ambulance bay, and a helipad capable of withstanding a 20,000-pound takeoff weight. The Level 1 emergency department included x-ray and CT rooms, Level 2 ICU, Level 3 med/surg, pharmacy, and laboratory, while adding 27 beds, 10 children's beds, and four trauma rooms.
