Prequalify to build with Layton.
Prequalification isn't paperwork for its own sake. It makes our trade partners more competitive, increases the likelihood of repeat work, and sets the foundation for a partnership that actually delivers for our clients. Access our form and upload all your documents in one place. Exempt from prequalification: vendors, suppliers, crane operators, and professional service providers (architects, engineers, surveyors, SWPPP contractors, etc.).
Here's what you'll need to complete your prequalification and contract work with Layton:
Financial Statements
Prepare your most current full-year income statement and most recent year-end balance sheet.
Safety Metrics
Know your most recent Experience Modification Rate (EMR) and Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR). You'll also need your OSHA 300A log.
Bonding & Credit Info
Have your bank line of credit amount ready, along with your bondability letter.
Signed W-9
Provide a current W-9 with your Tax Identification Number (TIN). Be sure to include dashes in your TIN (e.g., 12-3456789) and ensure the form is signed and dated.
Signed Safety Declaration
Before issuing a contract, Layton requires all trade partners to sign our Safety Declaration. This document must be signed by an owner or officer of your company and renewed annually. We'll collect your signed declaration in advance of any contract award.
Review Project Safety Management Plan
Familiarize yourself with Layton's safety protocols by reviewing our Project Safety Management Plan (PSMP) before starting work.
