The 2.3 million square-foot Amazon Fulfillment Center was constructed in 12 months and sits on 71 acres in Salt Lake City’s inland port area, located west of Salt Lake City International Airport. The project was developed by Seefried Industrial Properties.
The new fulfillment center will bring approximately 1,500 jobs to the Salt Lake City area and will move millions of packages each year.
The fulfillment center includes 2.3 million square feet of finished floor space. It features four mezzanines where thousands of robots carry racks containing products to pick stations where employees then move the items along a system of conveyors where they are packaged and prepared for shipping.
