Life Sciences Building at the University of Hawaii – Manoa
Layton built a new life sciences building to LEED Silver standards, with teaching areas, labs, and office spaces for UH’s Biology, Microbiology and Botany departments, along with the Pacific Biosciences Research Center.

Site preparation required the demolition of an existing building (Henke Hall) to make space for the new facility. This project is also the first large-scale design-build project for the University of Hawaii.
