Layton Construction has been recognized as one the best places to work in Hawaii and the California Bay Area! This is especially impressive when you think about the companies that have offices in these locations.
Each year, local business journal publications partner with Quantum Workplace to engage employees and determine satisfaction levels, retention rates, and company strength to identify the best places to work.
Nominations are accepted from the public, and employees of nominated companies are then asked to complete an online survey conducted by Quantum. The employee survey measures 10 key engagement categories, including team effectiveness, trust in senior leaders, and manager effectiveness. Responses from each question of each completed survey are compiled and evaluated. The companies with the highest scores are then recognized as the Best Places to Work.
Quantum surveyed employees in our Hawaii and San Jose offices. The results of those surveys showed that our employees willingly go above and beyond in their work, advocate for the organization, and intend to stay into the future. Employees consistently scored Layton in the 90th percentile and higher, which qualified us for the award.
Here’s some of what our employees in those offices had to say.
Layton has a strong commitment to families and work-life balance. Layton is a company that believes in opportunity. If you are ready for the next step, to grow in your career, opportunities will be made for you every time. There is no top out. It gives its employees all the tools they need to be successful both professionally and personally.
My reasoning for giving the “10” rating for Layton Construction is based on the culture within the company. Everyone is striving to be the best they can be but do so while also helping the guy next to them strive for greatness. Layton is the largest organization in the world that feels like a tight-knit, family-run organization, in my opinion.
I joined Layton construction over 26 months ago and this has been the best career move that I have made. I love the workplace energy, the leadership, and the direction the company is headed. The company has a clear game plan, common vision, great strategy and is on a mission with appropriate action and execution.
