Project Venus | Cold Storage Warehouse

Project Venus is a concrete tilt warehouse designed to meet the highest standards of efficiency and sustainability. Featuring a 130,000 SF “box-in-a-box” freezer, the facility utilizes a CO2 refrigeration system to minimize environmental impact. This fully conditioned, food-grade warehouse is dedicated to storing, co-packing, and freezing products and includes 14,000 SF of modern office space.

Situated in rural Arkansas near an active military base, the project required extensive off-site infrastructure development, including roadway reconstruction and the installation of a new traffic light. Our teams also worked off generators for the majority of the project due to the lack of permanent power. Despite enduring frequent rain delays, our team worked seven days a week to meet the project timeline. Layton maintained excellence through weekly stakeholder and end-user meetings, close coordination with trade partners, and transparent communication—ensuring efficient project completion.
