Layton constructed a large warehouse facility for The Hewson Company on a tight schedule while paying particular attention to staying within the given budget. Working closely with the client throughout the project, Layton completed the facility under budget and one month ahead of schedule.

The size of this facility is one of the most unique features of the building. The vast majority of the 368,000 ft2 is a single room.

The concrete work on this building reflects the skill of Layton concrete specialists. The slab for the facility was specified as a superflat floor with specifications of FF-50 and FL-35. The pour was even more difficult because the majority of the concrete was placed during the winter months. Layton used innovative tenting and heating methods to ensure a quality floor with the required flatness.
